Dog License Renewals

Dog License Renewals

🐕‍🦺🦮 It's that time of year again! If you count a pup as a member of your family, then please don't forget to renew or apply for your annual Dog License.

Rhode Island State law requires that every dog owner get a license for their dog each year in the municipality in which they live. If your dog is 6 months or older, you also need to get them a rabies vaccine, proof of which is required to get a license.

To obtain a license, please apply online, visit the City Clerk's Office, located on the Ground Floor of City Hall, 43 Broadway, or download a copy at www.CityofNewport.com/PetFriendlyNewport

Licenses costs $9 for dogs that are spayed or neutered, and $14 for those that are intact.
