Newport City Council Meetings Schedule

City Council meetings are generally held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber on the second floor of City Hall.

Pre-meetings are held at 6:20 p.m. in the second floor Conference Room. During the months of November and December, the schedule may be altered due to the holiday season.

Regularly scheduled Council Meetings for the calendar year 2008 are listed below:

January 9	January 23	February 13	February 27	March 12
March 26	April 9	April 23	May 7	May 28
June 11	June 25	July 9	July 23	August 13
August 27	September 10	September 24	October 8	October 22
November 12	December 10

The Council's regular Wednesday night meetings are first aired on COX Cable channel 18 at 8 P.M. the following night and then aired throughout the period until the next meeting.

Those start times are approximate and depend on preceding program lengths.They are listed on COX Cable channel 17. For special meetings and workshops, please check the program schedule on COX channel 17.
