2018 RHODE ISLAND ELECTION CALENDAR AND HOW TO RUN FOR OFFICE GUIDE HAVE BEEN RELEASED 

The 2018 Statewide Primaries will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. 

The 2018 General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.

DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY PERIOD June 25-27, 2018

Declaration of Candidacy form

Individuals interested in running for office should complete the Declaration of Candidacy in its entirety and return it to their local Board of Canvassers no later than June 27 at 4:00 PM.  Please note the forms cannot be accepted until 8:30 AM on Monday June 25. 

Candidates for federal and statewide offices must file their declaration of candidacy with the Secretary of State's Office, not their local board. 

INFORMATION FOR MILITARY AND OVERSEAS VOTERS
