Cruise Ships

Mariners should be advised that Newport is a popular cruise ship port of call. The Cruise ship season for Newport is the Fall with September and October being the busiest months.

Ships normally anchor in "Anchorage Delta", (west of Goat Island) and shuttle passengers into Perrotti Park via ships tenders or local tenders.

During a cruise ship port call, mariners are advised that there is a 200 yard Security zone around the ship. No vessel is allowed within this security zone without permission of the Captain of the Port.
