Fire Alarm Division

The Superintendent of Fire Alarm is responsible for the enforcement of the Rhode Island Fire Prevention Code, Chapter 8, Fire Detection and Alarm Systems. Office of Fire Alarm duties include:

• Perform acceptance tests for fire alarm systems after installation
• Business license review for the Fire Marshal's office
• Maintenance of municipal fire alarm systems and street pull boxes
• Keeping all records of testing of fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems and suppression systems
