Coffey's Service Station Site Remediation

UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION DETOUR

On Monday, October 23, 2017, a construction detour will be in place in the vicinity of Spring Street and Touro Street to accommodate required underground tank removal and environmental site remediation associated with the former Coffey’s Service Station as part of the Newport Spring Project. Courthouse Street will be temporarily closed during the project’s duration which is anticipated to be approximately 2 - 3 weeks.  A detour route will be installed that directs vehicles to Washington Square and/or Farewell Street via Spring Street, Stone Street and Broadway.  Residents and visitors are asked to seek alternate routes to avoid potential delays to their travels.
