Harborfront Park Weddings
The King Park Gazebo is located on Wellington Avenue (off lower Thames Street), which overlooks the Newport Harbor. It is an open air pavilion which is reserved for small wedding ceremonies (not receptions), for a $75.00 (RESIDENT) or $100.00 (NON-RESIDENT) reservation fee.
The reservation fee is deposited into a facility maintenance account for repairs and painting of the structure. The application is available by clicking on the link below, which can be printed out and sent with the fee to: Newport Recreation Department, 35 Golden Hill Street, Newport, RI 02840.

The Recreation Department also reserves ballfields for games and paractices and parks for a variety of group and family picnics or special events. A list of facilities is on the Recreation facilities page.
