The Communications Department is charged with strengthening internal and external communications to promote transparency, provide public information, and to help community members access and understand City services. 

In addition to fielding media inquiries, our office also is charged with responding to constituent requests through our 311 ReportIt! Newport system, and handling film and television filming inquiries.
