King Park, Pump Station & Willow Street Rack Storage Information

How to apply:

1. Apply Online (Note that proof of residency is required with application)

Applications will be available ONLINE ONLY
- One application per person
  - Must be 18 years old to apply

2. Submit Your Application

3. Winners will be selected through a Public lottery

Winners will be notified by email within 1 week of lottery drawing
Applicants are welcome to attend the drawing
Harbor Department and Third Party agent will administer the drawing
- All names will be drawn from bucket
- When the rack spaces are filled, remaining names will be placed on waiting list

4. Join the Waiting List

All unpaid stickers will be released to applicants on the waiting list
All applicants who were not chosen during the lottery will be placed on the waiting list
The order of the waiting list will be based upon the order chosen from bucket

Dinghy storage is available at the following driftway locations:

Battery Street
Cherry Street
Chestnut Street
Cypress Street
King Park Beach Rack
Pine Street
Popular Street
Walnut Street
Willow Street (non-rack space)

Please click on the link below for the form. Send completed form and check to: Newport Harbormaster 43 Broadway Newport, RI 02840. You may also use the Drop Box located at City Hall on the Bull Street side entrance. Once we receive the form and payment, the sticker will be sent to you.

Program is First Come, first served
Driftway storage program operates April 1 until stickers are sold out

Please find the application below. Stickers are available to mooring permit holders, mooring renters, and Newport residents only. The fee is $100.

Dinghies cannot exceed 12' LOA. Please mail the application (and fee, if applicable) to the address on the form and we will mail the sticker to you.
