Please note that while City Offices were closed on Monday, Feb. 17th in observance of Presidents' Day, residents are reminded that trash pickup will remain on a normal schedule for the week.
A: Yes. We perform annual maintenance on the Bath House lockers and need them to be cleared out. Also, the Bath Houses are not air tight and leaving items in your locker can be damaged from inclement weather conditions.
A: Yes. Almost 25% of applications returned have some changes on it. We do not keep this information on file due to confidentiality and security reasons. Also, we just want to make sure we are charging the correct amount for every application as circumstances change on an annual basis.

A: Valid Rhode Island driver's license with Newport address; or, valid Rhode Island Motor Vehicle Registration with Newport address; or Bona fide Lease of Six (6) Months Duration or longer and duly executed and signed by all parties. Tenants leasing for less than six months do not qualify for a sticker, unless they are active-duty military. Military personnel whose lease is less than six months must also provide a valid copy of their orders. Tenants leasing for between six (6) and nine (9) months must also provide a valid copy of the approved "City of Newport Rental Registration Form" that each property owner is required to post inside every rental dwelling unit.
A: No problem! Lost or stolen permits may be replaced at the cost of $25.00 in our Beach office. Only 1 hang tag per season will be replaced at $25. Any additional replacements will be at full price. (Subject to availability)
