The Recreation Department reserves ball fields for games and practices and parks for a variety of group and family picnics or special events. A list of facilities is on the Recreation facilities page.

Harborfront Park Weddings

The King Park Gazebo is located on Wellington Avenue (off lower Thames Street), which overlooks the Newport Harbor. It is an open-air pavilion which is reserved for small wedding ceremonies (not receptions), for a $100.00 (RESIDENT) or $250.00 (NON-RESIDENT)reservation fee. No reservations are taken before January 1st of the calendar year of the event.
