Planning Board

The volunteer members of the Newport Planning Board are responsible for ensuring that developments and other building projects fit within the City's long-term comprehensive plan. 

Historic Preservation

With the largest collection of colonial homes in the United States, Newport truly lives in its history. Caring for these historic properties is a community effort. 

Community Development Block Grants (CDBG)

With an eye toward creating more opportunity, connectivity, resiliency, and equity, Newport's 2020 North End Urban Plan seeks to serve as a basis for future development in one of the most dynamic areas of the City.
