The transfer station will be closed on Monday, August 10, 2020 in observance of the RI Victory Day holiday. As a result, there is a one-day collection delay for the week of August 10 for all trash and recycling collections. City offices are also closed for the day.

Follow these three steps to get started:
A disaster-supply kit should provide a collection of basic items that household members may need in the event of a disaster. A disaster-supply kit can be used in your home if there is an extended power outage or it could be used if you have to leave your home and go to a shelter. Start getting your kit together today! Download the Disaster-Supply Kit Checklist to help get you started.
Once you have gathered all of your disaster kit supplies, it is important to store them properly so they are safe to use when you need them. Here are some tips to help keep your supplies safe and ready to use:
Emergency plans can help to make sure you keep in contact with important family and friends.
Create and practice a family communications plan in case you are separated during an emergency.
To help you and your family stay in touch with one another during an emergency or disaster, download and fill out our Family Emergency Communications Plan. Make sure that every family member has a copy of the plan and is familiar with the emergency contact information and the meeting location destinations.
Reliable, accurate information is an essential resource before, during, and after an emergency or disaster.
