Newport Accepting Storm Damage Reports Online

Assessment Aimed at Determining Federal Disaster Assistance Eligibility
 
NEWPORT, R.I. (FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2021 ) – For the second time in less than a month, the City of Newport has begun compiling storm-related damage from residents and businesses that could be eligible for federal disaster reimbursement.

Newport residents and business owners impacted by the remnants of Hurricane Ida are being encouraged to submit storm-related damage reports to the City’s Emergency Management Agency via the City’s website at www.CityofNewport.com/StormDamage.

NEWPORT, R.I. (TUESDAY, AUGUST 24, 2021 ) –
As Newporters continue to clean up after their brush with Tropical Storm Henri, the City of Newport has begun compiling storm-related damage that could be eligible for federal disaster reimbursement.

Newport residents and business owners are encouraged to submit storm-related damage reports to the City’s Emergency Management Agency via the City’s website at www.CityofNewport.com/Henri, no later than 12 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27th.

NEWPORT, R.I. (FRIDAY, AUGUST 20, 2021) – City officials are reminding residents to act now to be Storm Ready as Hurricane Henri bears down on Aquidneck Island.  

​According to the latest forecasts, hurricane conditions are expected to sweep over the area Sunday morning with wind gusts of up to 80 mph, rain totals of up to 6” possible, and a 3-5 ft. storm surge
