Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, anyone struggling with addiction are welcome to visit any one of Newport's 3 fire stations, speak with the trained staff on duty, and immediately get connected to treatment support and services. Newport Safe Stations is free and provides a welcoming environment for when you’re ready for recovery. Newport Safe Stations is a partnership between the City of Newport and Newport County Prevention Coalition and the Hope Recovery Center of Newport.

A: The Newport Fire Department is working in partnership with The Hope Recovery Center and local treatment and recovery providers. After completing the medical evaluation at a Newport fire station, an individual will meet with peer recovery coaches. During this meeting a determination is made for services needed, which is unique to each individual.
